For this analysis, we will discuss the novels Os Sertões (1902), by Euclides da Cunha, and Lourenço (1881), by Franklin Távora. Based on the assumptions of Topoanalysis, as promulgated by Gaston Bachelard and OzRIS Borges Filho, we will demonstrate how the scenes narrated about the stampede of a herd, present in both novels, are receptive to Topoanalysis.
